Giovanni was currently in the premiere of Dreams, A Musical held in the historic Hawaii Theatre alongside Miss Saigon performers where he played a soldier. In addition, he starred in San-San Onglatco's film Zenaida which was part of of AFI Film Festival. For the theatrical and film version of the Song Cycle Aswang Ghost Stories, he starred as the narrator Tumao with Music/Lyrics by Florante Aguilar. Man@ng is Deity pays tribute to the lives of the 'manong' generation—the first wave of cheap imported Pilipinx laborers who powered the ever expanding needs of the developing United States empire.
Lakbai Diwa is a multi-disciplinary project that explores ancestral oceanic culture of survival, resilience, and prosperity. On October 24 and 25, 2020, Diasporic Spirit Dance Ritwal, a living dance prayer and meditation for the world with Spirit Boats offerings of food, flowers, herbs and power objects, and festooned with prayer flags was performed at Ocean Beach, Yerba Buena Gardens, Folsom Street, Bonifacio Street, and Lapu Lapu Street in San Francisco. www.kularts-sf.org
